The grand show of nature

As I was admiring a beautiful sunset recently, I was reminded of the concept described in this excellent quote from my hero John Muir. Most of us only notice something we consider to be spectacular once in a while; but there must *always* be something spectacular happening, somewhere in the world - truly the "grand show is eternal"! And probably, if we were more observant, more aware of our world, we would see many more breathtaking, awe-inspiring things every day, every hour.
Clearly we have much to #GiveThanks for in this world. The brilliant examples we see of that from time to time remind us that we are immersed in beauty, in space and in time.
And we also can appreciate really cool words like "gloaming." 🙂
PS - I took this photo 3 years ago at Mt. Kessler, Big Cottonwood Canyon.
