The Empty Tomb
We often visit gravesites of our ancestors, particularly on special days like Memorial Day. We go to the site where their mortal remains are waiting, to remember them and to honor them. But we go (physically or metaphorically) to an empty tomb for another reason. No physical remains are found there. And that's precisely the power in the message. What was dead, what had ended - was really very much alive and was really a glorious new beginning.
I love the message of Easter Morning. I love the hope and the power in that message, that resonates so deeply in my soul. Death is not the end. We have a Redeemer, a Deliverer, who not only gives us power over the grave, He gives us hope, He offers us forgiveness, He provides HEALING and grace to move forward. His message and doctrine and majestic and profound. His invitation is simple: follow me.
As I ponder that powerful, simple invitation, I #GiveThanks for the testimony in my heart of Jesus Christ, my Savior, and all that I owe to Him in my life.
